In the world of affiliate marketing, where do I begin?

I created a website with my amazon astore in it, I had 12 page views today, as of 2:10 am. I may have some hope, but yesterday and prior, the four sleepless nights I spent learning from scratch and making it happen, or at least hoping to, and never having done this before posed a big challenge to me, but I am not giving up, I just hit a point where I am confused. I had zero sales in my astore, and no clicks on any google adsense advertisements, where could I be going wrong? I would like to know some promotional strategies and techniques for gaining the favor of a potential customer, and what markets I would have the best shot at as a beginner. I have submitted my website to every place I could find online yesterday, how long does that usually take to bring traffic ?(beyond 12 people today so far and about 70 yesterday). or is it an ongoing battle? I need help developing a solid business plan, and review real websites of affiliate marketers to learn from their sites as well, know of any examples?

There are several ways to go about learning Internet or Affiliate Marketing. Affiliate marketing is basically becoming a sales agent or advertising agent for someone else’s products. You have an unlimited number of tactics that you can employ. The only limitation is your knowledge and your wallet.

If you have tried to sell anything on the web, you already realize the potential. The Internet is worldwide. There are literally billions of people on the Internet at any given time. If you could make a penny off everyone on the web at this exact moment, you would be rich beyond your wildest dreams. But how to get at all those people.

Google has it figured out. They provide the best search results of any of the search engines currently in use. The further leverage that traffic by selling ad space on their results. A widely used tactic is to run an ad and pay a per click charge when someone clicks on the ad. You don’t have to be a big company to do this. You can start with as little as $10.

The goal of most Internet marketers is to show up in the top 3 search engine results. There is a whole science surrounding the art of getting on the first page of Google. As you learn affiliate marketing, you’ll learn tactics for getting your website pushed to the top.

The problem is, you can learn all the traffic concepts in the world, but if you don’t have a good affiliate company, you won’t sell a thing. Sometimes the offer is just not that good. Sometimes it doesn’t convert to sales. Do you know what to do? Do you even know what to look for?

This is why its essential to find a good affiliate marketing training course. Find one that doesn’t teach a specific product. A course that sells instructions on how to make money in a specific niche is soon so overcrowded, nobody makes money.

Another tip is to enroll in a training course that does an over-the-shoulder approach. This means they don’t just show text, they record their computer screens so you can watch, pause and rewind as many times as necessary to understand exactly what they are doing. This requires a video course, which is usually a bit higher in cost but definitely worth the money.
